Requesting New Equipment or Office Setup

When your department needs a new computer, phone, camera, or printer — or if a new room or office location is being prepared — please submit a request under Setup, Projects & Security. Include the following details: device type, room/location, purpose, and the date you’d like it ready. Example: “New PC setup needed for Exam Room 4 before next Monday.” This helps the IT team schedule wiring, network configuration, and vendor coordination in advance.

All new setups must be approved by your manager or department lead before IT can install or purchase equipment. Once approved, IT will handle ordering, software installation, network setup, and email configuration. Please avoid connecting personal devices or ordering items directly, as they may not meet compliance or security standards.

If you’re moving or reorganizing desks, let IT know at least 2–3 days ahead. This ensures your phone extension, EMR access, and network ports are properly relocated without interrupting patient operations. Proper planning avoids downtime and ensures all equipment is HIPAA-secure and properly inventoried.
